Introduction:

This role provides expert guidance and delivers through self and others to:

  • The role will be responsible for Working on the development and delivery of Asset and liability management models for Stress Testing IRRBB, and Impairment; partnering with QA, Risk, Treasury, etc. Analyse, design and implement the python models in Model Execution framework in agile fashion. These Models will be used to enable advanced analytics, Consumer Risk Finance Treasury and Liquidity requirements. Develop Functionality for risk, finance and treasury regulatory modelling including building new applications & enriching existing applications

Responsible for the analysis or implementation of quantitative models both financial and non-financial in support of the company’s revenue generation/risk management efforts. Reviews and updates model documentation (methodology guide, user guide, policy documents) as required.

What will you be doing?

  • Working on the development and delivery of Asset and liability management models for Stress Testing IRRBB, and Impairment; partnering with QA, Risk, Treasury, etc.
  • Responsible for analyse, design and implement the python models in Model Execution framework in agile fashion
  • Adapt and extend existing Models for any support, remediation or enrichment based on requirements.
  • Developing Python based Analytical packages, which involves use of standard analytical and statistical packages
  • Involve in doing data analysis and integration using Python to model data
  • Working on the implementation of sensitivity analysis methodology/ tools which allow Risk, Treasury & Finance to manage the models

What we’re looking for:

  • Good Experience in model implementation or experience in working on Regulatory reporting
  • This is a hands-on position that will require coding and developing quantitative models in Python.
  • Should have minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with multiple modelling techniques: OLS, time series modelling, machine learning/ deep learning techniques, regression models in python
  • AWS experience will be a considered a plus
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to converse directly with business stakeholders
  • An ability to be self-sufficient and proactive whilst working in a broader team
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Excellent work attitude, with a focus on detail and delivery of the highest quality product under tight time pressure

Skills that will help you in the role

  • General understanding of Barclaycard, Consumer Lending, Home Finance & Current Account products.
  • General understanding of Risk/Finance/Treasury background
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be independent and creative in approach to problems and issues; assertive, tenacious, proactive
  • Experience in build and deploy of ETL based applications.
  • Fast and eager learner, demonstrate strong analytical skills
  • Technically versatile and happy to get involved with various technology skills

This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
